In the midst of this era of change, we champion the idea of being a true manufacturer.
From a sewing factory to an apparel manufacturer, from kids’ wear to apparel for all ages, Maruhisa has continually grown in response to customer needs and changing times.
In difficult times such as the oil crisis of the 1970s and the strong yen, we were quick to read business trends, adopting an overseas strategy in which we established production bases in Thailand, China, and Bangladesh, allowing us to overcome those perils and continue to grow as a company. The secret to staying on top in the rapidly changing fashion business is to embody the proverb “the early bird catches the worm” in accordance with the principles of marketing. Maruhisa’s current status is the result of our continuous efforts to read current trends and proactively modify our business schemes accordingly.
In the 21st century, social conditions have changed drastically, and we have entered the age of the individual, where remote working has become the mainstream. As such, the apparel and logistics industries have no choice but to change in order to survive.
Throughout Maruhisa’s long history as a “self-contained manufacturer,” we have built up our planning, product, and production capabilities with the aim of establishing ourselves as a national brand. These are the underlying strengths of a manufacturer that can also act as its own SPA (Specialty store retailer of Private-label Apparel).
Our factory in Bangladesh was established as an integrated factory capable of fabric knitting, dyeing, printing, and sewing, and has also played an active role in fabric development.
Of course, we also believe that we are able to meet a wide range of retail needs thanks to our unique business model, which combines trade and an established logistics network.
Maruhisa has grown as a manufacturer as a result of the integration of thorough marketing, planning, production, and sales. Our goal is to be an “excellent apparel manufacturer” capable of a new type of competitiveness that transcends the boundaries of apparel, and to be a company that performs “high-quality manufacturing” that can quickly provide products demanded by new markets at any time.
